2019/20 Break Trips
Our extended trips during Winter and Spring Break provide an experience that
is unforgettable. A week of getting to know a new group of people, while
exploring and learning skills, allows participants to forget about their
school work or job and focus on the beautiful outdoor areas and exciting
These trips are camping based. You will stay in tents every night and cook your food on camp stoves. Showers may be available at a few sites along the way.
Winter Break Texas/New Mexico 2020
Hiking, Backpacking, Camping, Caving and Fun!
Dates: Dec. 30 - Jan. 11
Registration: Register in person at the WVU Outdoor Recreation Center if you want to put the trip fee on your STAR account (Located in the free zone of the WVU Student Recreation Center). Registration is open on Aug 1.
New England Winter Break Trip 2020
Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding, Cross Country Skiing, Ice Climbing, and Winter Fun!
Travel with us to the New England states and enjoy an action packed week of downhill skiing/snowboarding, cross country skiing, ice climbing, and exploring several iconic eastern mountain towns along the way. We will stay in several comfortable mountain homes outside of Stowe, Vermont and North Conway, New Hampshire that will include a full kitchen, spacious amenities, as well as a hot tub! This trip will showcase the many cultural highlights of what a winter in New England is all about, with a guided tour of the Burton Snowboard Factory to boot! Medium physical difficulty, beginner skill level.

Spring Break 2020
Florida Rivers and Springs:
Get ready to canoe, snorkel, swim, and camp among northern
Florida’s natural springs, unique rivers and white sand beaches. Participants will visit the
Suwannee River, Manatee Springs State Park, Cedar Key, Ichtucknee Springs
State Park and the Santa Fe River.
Medium physical difficulty, beginner skill level.
Dates: March 13 - 21

Whitewater Tour of the Southeast
Learn and develop whitewater kayaking skills on this exciting trip through some of the best rapids in the Southeast. Take advantage of this unique opportunity, immerse yourself in an exciting and challenging adventure, and develop comfort with the skills!
Cost includes instruction, transportation, all gear, food (except road food), camping fees, and trip activities.
