Break Trips
2018/19 Break Trips
Our extended trips during Winter and Spring Break provide an experience that
is unforgettable. A week of getting to know a new group of people, while
exploring and learning skills, allows participants to forget about their
school work or job and focus on the beautiful outdoor areas and exciting
activities offered.
These trips are camping based. You will stay in tents every night and cook your food on camp stoves. Showers may be available at a few sites along the way.
Winter Break 2018
Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing and Winter Fun!
Travel with us to New Hampshire and experience the White Mountains in the winter. We will stay in a rustic cabin at night and go downhill skiing, hiking and cross country skiing during the days. We will also visit the quaint town of Conway. Dec 16 - Dec 22, 2018. Medium physical difficulty, beginner skill level.
Cost: $650

Spring Break 2019
Florida Keys:
Get ready to kayak, snorkel, swim, and camp in the beautiful
Florida Keys. This trip includes exploring near shore sea grass
and soft coral environments by kayak with opportunities to snorkel
directly off the boats. We will also do a boat/snorkel tour to an
outer reef. Locations we will visit include Everglades
National Park, the Lower Florida Keys and Bahia Honda State Park. Medium
physical difficulty, beginner skill level.
Dates: March 8 - 16
Cost: $500
Registration: Register in person at the WVU Outdoor Recreation Center if you want to put the trip fee on your STAR account (Located in the free zone of the WVU Student Recreation Center). Registration is open on Nov 15.
